About our Alexandria location
The PetMedic team located in Alexandria, Virginia, is ready to provide high-quality and timely veterinary urgent care as well as reliable primary veterinary care in the Alexandria community. Our flexible scheduling allows you to make same-day online appointments during the week, on weekends, or during select holidays. No matter when you come in, you can expect exceptional care from our warm, knowledgeable, and compassionate staff.
Our Alexandria PetMedic clinic is located in the historic Old Town district, conveniently near local attractions such as the Old Town Farmers’ Market and the Old Town Alexandria Waterfront. Keep an eye out for our hospital when you’re visiting the Alexandria area, getting groceries at the Whole Foods close by, or going out to eat at one of the many nearby restaurants like The Wharf and 1799 Prime Steak and Seafood.

We are proud to offer advanced orthopedic, soft tissue, and ultrasound surgical services through our talented PetMedic surgeons, Dr. Brent Gordon and Dr. Andrew Thay.
Our advanced surgical services are available on Wednesdays for consults and procedures.
Surgeries are reserved for stable patients who can be discharged the same day.

Surgical service quick facts
If you are unsure if your patient is a candidate for surgery at our clinic, please call to discuss the case.
Surgery will generally not be the same day as the consult. A consultation with the surgeon is required prior to scheduling a procedure.
Appointments and other inquiries can be made by phone during our Urgent Care hours. Voicemails left in the morning will be returned in the afternoon.
Online booking will not be available for surgery appointments.
